Totem Ocean Announces Two Key Leadership Positions

Federal Way, Wash. — Totem Ocean Trailer Express has named Michael Noone Chief Operating Officer.

Noone brings more than 28 years of experience in shipping and logistics to Totem Ocean. Most recently Noone served as executive vice-president and chief operating officer for Yusen Logistics Americas, where he was responsible for leading the strategic direction, execution and bottom line results for the company’s six business units.

Noone is responsible for managing Totem Ocean’s day-to-day operations by creating strategic and operating plans for sales, pricing and operations, ensuring the long-term growth, sustainability and profitability of the company.

We are fortunate to have Mike join the Totem Ocean team, said John Parrott, president. “He’s hit the ground running and is already proving to be an asset to our organization. Beyond Totem Ocean, we also welcome Mike and his wife to their new home in Gig Harbor.”

A graduate in Business Administration from Wagner College, Noone was certified by two of the nation’s top executive programs in Logistics; Smeal College of Business Administration at Penn State University, and the Fisher College of Business at Ohio State University. Noone also earned certifications in Advance Management from INSEAD and Strategic Planning and Implementation from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. In addition, Noone is a Steering Committee Member at the Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA).

Grace Greene

Anchorage, Alaska – Grace Greene has joined Totem Ocean as General Manager of the company’s Alaska operations.

Greene brings over 13 years of professional experience managing a wide range of activities from complex oil and gas exploration logistics, aviation operations and safety in remote Arctic Alaska, to business development and consulting. Most recently, Greene was responsible for leading all aviation logistics operations in the Alaska Venture for the Shell Exploration and Production Company.

Grace understands our business and the complexity of operations in Alaska and I’m excited to have her on our team said Totem Ocean President John Parrott. “As our senior leader in Alaska, Grace will provide a strong focus on our customers, employees and all the many organizations and people that we touch”

Greene received her bachelor’s degree in Oceanography from the United States Naval Academy and served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a helicopter pilot and Aircraft Commander. During her service she held various leadership roles in Operations and Logistics as well as Director of Safety and Standardization.
