The Isla Bella and Perla Del Caribe sail twice a week between Jacksonville and San Juan, providing reliable shipments of everything from groceries to construction supplies and raw materials for Puerto Rico’s manufacturing industry. In addition to their positive environmental impact, the new vessels can carry about double what the previous ships transported and bring nearly 40 percent of all cargo to Puerto Rico.

To name the new LNG-powered vessels, TOTE Maritime partnered with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Puerto Rico in a contest. The two winning names were selected from hundreds of entries. Each winner received a university scholarship.
