Interstate Distributor Co. To Celebrate 80 Year Anniversary

Tacoma, WA – July 18, 2013 – Interstate Distributor Co. is pleased to announce the remarkable milestone of providing transportation services across this great country for 80 years. Interstate began operations in 1933 when Bob McLean owned one truck and hauled cedar shakes from Washington to California. Interstate is having a weeklong celebration at each of its major terminals in Lebanon, TN, Fontana, CA and at its headquarters in Tacoma, WA.

Interstate’s CEO and President, Marc Rogers, is kicking off the celebration Monday, July 22nd. “We are proud of our 80-years in business and of the talented associates, commitment to customer service and ability to change that got us here,” said Marc Rogers. “Our future is bright; we have a strong leadership team in place to expand our service footprint and ensure we are building the best trucking company in America through our foundational principles of safety first, service always and a passion for operational excellence.” During the events Interstate will reveal its new brand, new equipment and roll out its inaugural Driver Ambassador Program.

In addition to invited guests, members of the press are welcome to attend events at each Interstate terminal.
