Manages trade related strategies to meet individual budgets as set by Caribtrans management. Assists country commercial teams in market coverage; maintenance of existing clients and development of new clients, pricing management, and establishing marketing campaigns. Ensures Miami operations meet the process expectation of each country to maintain client satisfaction. Assists Caribtrans GM with all aspects of agency agreements and relationships including, but not limited to, Sales, Operations, Legal and Accounting, especially those related to agency receivables and commissions.
Visits assigned territory regularly to generate new business and maintain current clientele along with local agency staff.
Proactively initiates any indicated operational or customer service corrections and monitors progress.
Reviews monthly financial reconciliations with TPA and Accounting to ensure that Accounts Receivable is current and that commissions are in line with good business practice.
Holds TPA commercial teams accountable for performance of assigned territories and provides training or coaching where indicated.
Responsible for developing the US to Puerto Rico domestic trade according to company strategic plan.
Responsible for meeting budgeted revenue and volume targets in conjunction with local agency commercial staff per the business plan of each country.
Establishes and enforces procedures and develops reporting tools to measure results on a weekly basis.
Responsible for building the brand locally through marketing strategies and activities.
Identifies potential new services, ports, and structural changes or additions to management.
Performs all other related duties as requested.
|Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or in a related field|
|Three years experience in sales management. Five years experience in the transportation industry.|
|Valid Local Driver's License and Valid Passport|
|60% travel to local and international locations|
|Office Environment - Manual dexterity to perform repetitive motion tasks on computer. Ability to bend or stoop to retrieve lower shelf files. Ability to reach overhead to retrieve upper shelf files. ability to sit 1/3 - 2/3 of day. Ability to travel in various modes of transportation (e.g. automobile, airplane, train etc..) Occasionally exposed to outside elements during the course of traveling.|
