Perform all duties required to provide national pick-up and inland transportation to customers by motor carriers in compliance with shippers and motor carrier requirements.
Coordinate all inland shipments northbound, southbound and LCL and FCL.
Coordinates and distributes inland rate tariff on a regular basis.
Resolve any and all loading/unloading discrepancies with shippers, suppliers or vendors.
Prepare cost and rate data for Accounting and department reports. Initiates and creates all "receive for shipment" data in computer system. Prepares and enters all inland cost or revenue data in computer system. Coordinates with Accounts Payable and other departments to ensure proper inland charges on Bills of Lading.
Monitor shipments in transit to ensure on-time receipt. Coordinates customer's inland movements.
Coordinate with Customs, DOT and other agencies to complete regulatory process.
Coordinates with inland carriers to resolve billing discrepancies. Works with customers or consignees on inland billing.
Performs all other related duties as requested.
|High School Diploma or equivalent|
|Three years in transportation or shipping.|
|Valid Local Driver's License|
|5% Travel to other Tropical locations and vendors as necessary.|
|Office Environment - Manual dexterity to perform repetitive motion tasks on computer. Ability to bend or stoop to retrieve lower shelf files. Ability to reach overhead to retrieve upper shelf files. ability to sit 1/3 - 2/3 of day. Ability to travel in various modes of transportation (e.g. automobile, airplane, train etc.) Occasionally exposed to outside elements during the course of traveling.|
