Position Profile:

Are you a results-oriented, relationship-driven transportation industry sales leader looking to take on a new challenge? TOTE’s Vice President of National Accounts position based in Jacksonville, FL (will also consider Tacoma, WA or possibly remote) is a unique opportunity to take on a new role within a strong and established sales organization. As the VP of National Accounts, you will be responsible for proactively managing large multi-trade customers and showcasing TOTE’s capabilities by designing custom solutions for customers’ supply chain challenges. You will lead a matrixed team of high-performing regional account managers in Washington, Alaska, Florida, and Puerto Rico to create a coordinated strategy for approaching corporate accounts and delivering sales results.

Essential Job Responsibilities & Results

As the VP of National Accounts for TOTE you will report to TOTE’s VP Commercial. You’ll work closely with regional account managers in TOTE’s three operating companies, TOTE Alaska, TOTE Puerto Rico, and TOTE Services, to lead a joint-company strategic planning process and develop a coordinated National Accounts sales strategy. You’ll use your exceptional teamwork and communication skills to establish productive, professional relationships with key contacts in your customer account base. You’ll use those same skills to develop internal relationships with commercial support, customer service, and management – aligning them to create seamless customer experiences. Although the position is based out of Jacksonville, FL, you will spend considerable time with customers and teams across the nation. Some days you’ll work independently. Other days you’ll be working alongside colleagues in a professional environment. If proactive communication, strategic vision, and strong analytical skills are your superpowers, you will find this role a perfect fit!

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field required, MBA preferred
  • Ten years of transportation industry experience, with at least five years of commercial experience
  • Senior-level management experience
  • Experience developing and implementing commercial strategies
  • Team player who operates through collaboration & consensus
  • This position requires extensive travel
  • Robust interpersonal interface with co-workers and customers
  • Exhibit exceptional leadership skills
  • Must possess excellent communication skills – verbal, written, and presentation
  • Excellent analytical & financial acumen
  • Proven facilitator with problem-solving & conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to multitask & prioritize
  • Proven track record for continuous process improvement
  • Advanced proficiency in Windows and MS Office Suite – Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
