Responsible for analyzing financial information and records within Accounting General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Purchasing. Prepares/reviews journal entries, internal & external reports and account reconciliations. Assists with internal & external audits. Assists in the development, documentation and implementation of operating policies and procedure supporting accounting control requirements.

Performs analysis of expenditures in the ports. Communicates with agents and port personnel to determine necessary accruals, creation of accruals and review of financial statements for reasonableness. Responsibilities also require a thorough understanding of PeopleSoft General Ledger and Accounts Payable as well as TLink.
Works with agents and port personnel to settle commissions, verify expenses and other pertinent accounting matters on a monthly basis. Uses knowledge of agency agreements, TLink, RSAP and other company financial systems to perform complete analysis.
Prepares external government reports accurately and completely. Maintains a thorough knowledge of the rules and regulations for assigned jurisdictions, both foreign and domestic.
Performs reconciliation of balance sheets accounts as assigned. Reviews all balance sheet transactions and reconciles differences.
Completes short term project work (i.e. reports and account analysis) as requested.
Performs all other duties as assigned duties.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
EXPERIENCE: Three to five years accounting experience.
LICENSE: Valid Local Driver's License
PHYSICAL: Office Environment - Manual dexterity to perform repetitive motion tasks on computer. Ability to bend or stoop to retrieve lower shelf files. Ability to reach overhead to retrieve upper shelf files. Ability to sit 1/3 - 2/3 of day. Ability to work on feet for 1/3 - 2/3 day.
