A typical day for our accounting team includes overlooking the beautiful Seattle waterfront, working in with multi-state businesses and having the autonomy to make a significant impact to our organization.  The ideal candidate will be proficient in complex transaction accounting functions, the ability to reconcile a GL account and report on variances.  Our staff accountants are valuable members of our team!

Responsibilities:

Compiles and analyzes financial information to record transactions, prepare reports, review and verify accuracy.
Performing essential duties for month end close.
Assist with the preparation and review of company financial statements and statistical reporting.
Compiles data and prepares a variety of reports.
Reconciles complex general ledger accounts, including inventory.
Utilizes knowledge of internal controls to implement changes in accordance with GAAP.
Prepares journal entries as needed.
Prepares monthly reports and distributes as needed.
Reconciles industry specific transactions.
Supports audit functions performed by independent external auditors and internal auditors.
Posts journal entries.
Works with accounting systems as assigned.
Has working knowledge of entire balance sheet, and able to verify balances are accurate and complete.
Works with non-accounting personnel to implement procedural improvements and policies.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, 3-7 years experience, general understanding of US GAAP and Accounting concepts, strong Excel skills, understanding of internal controls. Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
