This position is responsible for safely and efficiently managing the Anchorage Shop. The primary functions are communicating and coordinating with the Operations users to ensure the high level of fleet readiness and availability. Must prioritize staffing, work schedules and other critical resources based upon the needs of Operations. Also a key contributor the recruiting, mentoring, and retention of the shop personnel.


  • Capable of performing all of the duties of the feeder Positions(s): Shop Helper, M1,M2,M3,M4
  • Communicates and coordinates with Operations to ensure adequate staffing and resources to maintain the highest level of fleet readiness and quality in order to meet equipment needs
  • Prioritizes schedules, repairs and workloads of shop personnel
  • Coordinates all other elements of equipment repairs
    • To include: Parts, Third Party Services, and Freight
  • Reviews and authorizes major repairs and shop expenditures
  • Approves shop personnel timecards and payroll
  • Actively involved with recruiting, retention, mentoring and training of all levels of shop personnel
    • To include: regular/consistent counseling, appraisals, and wage reviews
  • Acts as a key liaison with key vendors and third party suppliers
  • Primary person of responsibility for shop and personnel safety and environmental performance
  • Participates in the annual budgeting process at Carlile and for R&M
    • Review expenses and manages costs in adherence with the approved R&M budget
    • Review R&M P&L and regularly/actively communicates with Finance and Accounting regarding budget performance
  • All other duties as assigned



  • High School Diploma +Degree of completion from two-year college or technical school
  • Must be at least 21 years old and in good physical condition
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test, Functional Capacity Test and background check
  • Must furnish and keep onsite all necessary tools for completion of job
  • Prior supervisory experience
  • Intermediate level computer experience required
  • Class A CDL preferred
