TOTE Maritime Alaska

TOTE Maritime Alaska, the leader in safe and reliable service to Alaska, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Marketing Manager for our Federal Way office to join our team.

The Senior Marketing Manager will be responsible for the development, implementation and management of the marketing and communication strategy for TOTE Maritime Alaska. The role is responsible for identifying, understanding, and communicating to all key audiences in our market. The Senior Marketing Manager will work in conjunction with functional leaders and Regional Sales Managers to capture and communicate company-related information to key audiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee internal and external communication plan, including but not limited to an emergency communication plan aligned to Business Continuity.
  • Develop PR plan (including digital campaigns) that drive overall brand awareness aligned to company values
  • Develop advertising strategy to align with commercial goals and opportunities by working with sales managers to develop tools, channels and messaging direct to our market on key initiatives
  • Review and meet with key industry leaders / associations to develop market intelligence and projections.
  • Responsible for gathering and analyzing market data to support marketing strategies and execution that drive growth across market segments.
  • Works closely with sales, pricing and operations to ensure commercial marketing strategy is aligned with customer needs and opportunities.
  • Responsible for all aspects of marketing and communication channels designed to improve the TOTE brand in the market place.  Brand management for all internal and external communications including website, social media, and marketing collateral.   Manage social media presence and direct programs to improve social media reputation and recognition.
  • Works closely with vendors related to brand management, website production and advertising campaigns and all other media / commercial related campaigns.
  • Establish a system of reports and communications for all information from the marketing team to the key audiences within TOTE
  • Build best-in-class measurement strategies using digital platforms to continuously evaluate all marketing related activities.
  • Represent TOTE Maritime Alaska by attending various industry and community related functions.

 

 

Background Required

    • Bachelor’s degree required in Marketing, MBA and prior transportation experience desired.
    • 3+ year’s experience in a Senior Marketing role.

  • Must be self-motivated and flexible.
  • Computer literate, with the ability to utilize standard software applications and be proficient in Windows and MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel) and all E-servicenter and E-commerce web-based applications.
