Northern Air Maintenance Services, LLC (NAMS), headquartered in Anchorage, Alaska, is an FAA Certified 14 CRF Part 145 Repair Station that is the sole maintenance provider for the fleet of three (3) DHC-8-400 (Q400) aircraft owned by the largest oil company operating in Alaska. NAMS provides aircraft maintenance, ground operations, inventory control, and other related support services for all flight operation from Anchorage to Kuparuk and Alpine. In addition to providing services for three (3) DHC-8-400 (Q400) aircraft, NAMS provides all below wing services including baggage handling and screening, aircraft catering, aircraft ground operations, and passenger screening. NAMS employs over 70 people in Anchorage, Kuparuk, and Alpine to service the Q400, while also supporting the oil company with contract maintenance on two (2) DHC-6-300/400 Twin Otter and one (1) CASA 212-300 aircraft maintained in Alpine, AK.
Responsible for recording and monitoring all required time control information and maintaining complete and current aircraft records to include historical records by performing the following duties. Provides other support to production and management as required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Enter flight summary sheet information into the TRAX database.
• Reconcile aircraft hours and cycles information with the aircraft operator.
• Audit Production and Shop work orders for completeness and accuracy of entries.
• Route noted discrepancies to Maintenance for corrections.
• Make TRAX entries to record installation and removal of aircraft parts.
• Verify replacement schedule against TRAX’s for parts being installed and receiving parts paperwork from Stores.
• Maintain hardcopy files for aircraft records and Repair Station records.
• Enter TRAX compliance statements for Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, Service Letters, Repairs, Alterations, and Special Inspections.
• Maintain and controls original certs, 8130’s, etc. for all rotable and non-rotable parts.
• Make updates to the aircraft status report utilizing TRAX planning reports and accomplished maintenance documentation.
• Assumes additional duties as assigned by the Director, Quality Control.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
o High School Diploma, or General Education Degree (GED).
o A minimum of 3 years of experience in related position clerical experience.
o A moderate degree of reasoning, math skills, and language skills are required for this position. High School levels are sufficient for all areas.
o Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language.
o Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to interact well with coworkers and customers.
o Must have a working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office applications.
o Working knowledge of TRAX a plus.
o Requires a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
o Able to communicate orally and in writing.
o Knowledge of quality control, and planning processes.
o Aircraft maintenance experience is a plus.
o Understands regulatory requirements.
o Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, 5-year background check, 10-year criminal history check and security threat assessment.
o Must have a valid Passport or obtain one within the first 6 Months of employment.
o Occasional in/out of country travel will be required.
