While the B767 fleet operates out of Miami in support of sister company StratAir and out of Honolulu in support of sister company Aloha Air Cargo.

SUMMARY:   The NAC Trainer is responsible for providing initial and recurrent training on cargo service job duties, company and departmental policies, safety in warehouse and ramp operations, and the proper operation of all relevant ground service equipment.  The NAC Trainer will also assist in maintaining training records for all Company employees and ensuring employee adherence to company policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide classroom, on-the-job and Skype training to cargo service employees on basic job duties, company and departmental policies, safety, the operation of all relevant ground service equipment, and other subjects as assigned by the cargo service’s management group.

Develop and deliver training courses on topics outside of cargo operations.

Coordinates with the Director of Training and Director of Cargo Services to develop training curriculum and presentations on assigned subjects.

Remain current on any FAA, OSHA, or DOT regulations pertinent to cargo service operations.

Assist in keeping company and departmental policies and manuals updated in accordance with changes to operations.

Create and maintain paper and electronic training records for all cargo services employees.

Coordinate with the multiple departments on scheduling and other arrangements necessary for training.

Provide additional specific training and on-the-job training to employees with identified needs for additional attention.

Conduct ongoing audits of employee performance and adherence to company policies and procedures.

Regular attendance is required.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma, or General Education Degree (GED).

At least one year of related airline or training experience.

Previous training experience preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Must be able to interact well with cargo and customer service employees, other departments, and customers.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Accurate math skills are a must.

COMPUTER SKILLS:
Familiarity with Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Outlook.

Experience in Learning Management Systems and creating presentations and training materials helpful.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Must have a valid driver’s license.

Must be able to pass 5-year background check, 10-year criminal history check and security threat assessment.

Must have a history of outstanding interpersonal relationships with customers, co-workers and managers.

Must be comfortable with public speaking and presenting in front of a group.

Work with minimal supervision and accomplishes tasks as assigned.

Lifting/carrying requirements:  Up to 50 pounds occasionally.  Repetitions will vary with projects.

Climbing:  Up ladders and stairs.

Reaching:  Full range of motion may be required to perform the essential functions of this position

Standing/Walking:  50% of the day.  Concrete floor in warehouse and paved ramp.  Surfaces can be wet seasonally and icy seasonally.

Pushing/Pulling:  Up to 100 pounds; required to load/offload cargo.

Crawling:  Minimal crawling required.

Repetitive bending/Twisting:  Occasional to moderate.

Talking:  Talking is required throughout the day, communication with customers and co-workers will be required.

Vision:  Good vision is required to perform all tasks.

Hearing:  Good hearing is required for effective and safe communication with co-workers.
