Company Description: Northern Air Cargo (NAC), headquartered in Anchorage, is Alaska largest all-cargo airline and the longest continuously operating cargo airline in North America. NAC maintains a fleet of Boeing 737 and 767 freighters and operates pilot bases in Anchorage, Honolulu, Miami and Laredo. NAC’s fleet of B737s provide schedule service between Anchorage and 13 Alaska communities and charter service throughout North America (both on-demand and ACMI). While the B767 fleet operates out of Miami in support of sister company StratAir and out of Honolulu in support of sister company Aloha Air Cargo.
Northern Air Cargo
The Avionics Technician must have experience in and knowledge of Avionics and Electrical systems including but not limited to – Nav/Comm, Autoflight, AC and DC Power Generation and Lighting.
Duties include replacement and testing of LRU’s, repair and replacement of wiring,and use of all associated ramp testers and test equipment.
Able to interpret engineering drawings and schematics, and assist in the completion of modifications to avionics systems.
Actively participates in the training program.
Other duties as assigned, based on certification.
High School graduate or GED.
FCC General Radiotelephone Operator's license or FAA Airframe and/or Power Plant license preferred.
Graduate of approved avionics school or two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. B737-200/300/400 experience desirable.
Ability to move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move over up to 70 pounds.
Possess a valid driver's license with good driving record for the past five years.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, 5-year background check, 10-year criminal history's records check, and security threat assessment.
