  • Ensure safe maintenance and line operations with expected IS-BAO protocols
  • Ensure the quality of the aircraft, engine and avionics maintenance and repair
  • Assist with the development of department policies
  • Assist with the preparation of short and long-range plans
  • Assist with the preparation of the annual operating budget
  • Assist with the assessment of aircraft cost studies
  • Develop assigned personnel to realize their full potential
  • Recommend proper staffing for the maintenance department
  • Establish schedules for periodic inspections, general overhaul, repairs and modifications
  • Establish and maintain records as required by FAR’s, manufacturers and company policy
  • Provide various reports to management as required
  • Establish maintenance safety rules and procedures
  • Establish spare and ground support inventories
  • Supervise maintenance personnel (contract staff when required)
  • Ensure the department personnel are thoroughly familiar with company policies, appropriate FAR’s, pertinent manuals, practices and publications
  • Establish programs for maintenance technician proficiency training, reviews and upgrades, in accordance with FAA and company requirements
  • Establish aircraft handling procedures
  • Establish requirements for hangar space, grounds and a fuel farm if applicable
  • Help monitor security and environmental affairs, including completing material safety data on all chemicals, fire drills and safety training
  • Help coordinate the activities of the maintenance department with flight operations
  • Help ensure that maintenance and flight crew understand the company’s objectives and each other’s needs
  • Help provide efficient and timely scheduling of all maintenance and repair
  • Direct compliance of minimum equipment list (MEL) maintenance procedures
  • Assume responsibility for maintenance and upkeep of the aviation hangar and office facility and inventory respecting OSHA requirements
  • Ensure all work is completed before final inspection
  • Oversee quality controls and champion safety
  • Ensure that all test equipment is calibrated and maintained
  • Ensure compliance with all service Bulletins (SB’s) and Airworthy Directives (AD’s)
  • Maintain shop and hangar tools and equipment



  • Hold an Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Skills and Experience

  • Broad knowledge of and experience with the maintenance of the Falcon 2000 EASy or similar type and complexity
  • Experience in managing a maintenance department
