Performs all duties required to provide inland transportation to customers by motor carriers in compliance with shippers and motor carrier requirements. Books appointments, assigns work orders and monitors shipments. Troubleshoots issues and coordinates resolution. Updates Dispatch system for accounting purposes.

Coordinate all inland shipments. Confirms location, size and type of equipment, address, email and phone number, and contact name.
Processes requests from all email boxes, updates Dispatch system, and answers calls from vendors, Customer Service, and other departments.
Monitors shipments still out on day of sail to ensure timely arrival for vessel schedule. Communicates delays or issues to the Control Center and Sales as needed. Monitors all other pending shipments.
Verifies vendor rates for moves to assign work orders. Works with Intermodal Rate Analysis to create new rates as required.
Resolves any pickup or spotting discrepancies with load facilities, vendors, and Customer Service.
Coordinates with Trucking Accounts Coordinator to resolve any rate or accessorial issues. Follows up with Trucking Manager for any required rate corrections in the Dispatch system.
Works with Imports Department and Port Gate on a daily basis to move import loads for staging outside the Port for drivers to pickup and deliver.
Enters accessorial charges to vendor's accounts in Dispatch system for payment and enters customer charges into TLink for WNS.
Performs all other related duties as requested.
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE: One year in transportation or shipping.
LICENSE: Valid Local Driver's License
TRAVEL: 5% Travel to other Tropical locations and vendors as necessary.
PHYSICAL: Office Environment - Manual dexterity to perform repetitive motion tasks on computer. Ability to bend or stoop to retrieve lower shelf files. Ability to reach overhead to retrieve upper shelf files. ability to sit 1/3 - 2/3 of day. Ability to travel in various modes of transportation (e.g. automobile, airplane, train etc.) Occasionally exposed to outside elements during the course of traveling.
