Prints customer releases, customs manifests, ship manifests, load lists and Bill of Lading recaps for all incoming vessels.

Print customer releases, customs manifests, ship manifests, load lists and BL recaps for all incoming vessels.
Prepare Bill of Lading and attaching necessary documents such as customer release, Customs form, extra copies and invoices.
Notify customers of cargo arrival and availability. Administer renotification of customer and shipper for overdue cargo.
Assist customers, answer inquiries related to freight and cargo tracking.
Separate Bill of Lading for filing purposes by vessel and voyage. Prepare folders for each voyage and file all Bill of Ladings.
Make copies of container manifest and forward copies to appropriate areas.
Print customer releases, separate gold copies from all Less than Container shipments and provide warehouse with container manifest.
Print Customs manifest, distribute to U.S. Customs Department of Agriculture, traffic department, cargo release and equipment control.
Collect freight charges on all shipments shipped freight "collect".
Perform other duties as requested.


EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE: Two years of experience in related field.
LICENSE: Valid Local Driver's License.
PHYSICAL: Office Environment - Manual dexterity to perform repetitive motion tasks on computer. Ability to bend or stoop to retrieve lower shelf files. Ability to reach overhead to retrieve upper shelf files. Ability to sit 1/3 - 2/3 of day. Ability to work on feet for 1/3 - 2/3 day.
