Individual works under guidance of Revenue Manager and is responsible for ensuring that accurate costs are being captured to secure revenue through the billing process. Individual will apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare required reports by performing the following duties:

Utilize accounting and operational software to identify cost to generate invoices for Government and Commercial customers.
Ensure all adequate backup documentation is available to support invoice amounts being submitted for reimbursement per Government and Commercial contractual agreement.
Responsible for activity/project account maintenance. Monitor customer accounts by maintaining spreadsheets and/or files to track status of invoices and payments.
Assist Revenue Manager with providing customer service to internal and external clients on invoice inquiries.
Assist Ship Mangers and Port Engineers by assuring accurate reporting of reimbursable cost of task orders, proper handling of funding shortfalls and timely production of all required reports by customer and TOTE Services originating from the task order.
Be able to exhibit time management skills that will produce efficient and effective work. Be able to be detail oriented and meet deadlines.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Some college/technical education in Accounting (degree preferred); 3+ years in a billing department roll (preferably Government Billing) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos and interpret general business documents such as contracts and government requirements and procedures manuals. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and in small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios and percentages.
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to handle a heavy workload. Knowledge of general accounting and government billing procedures; computer spreadsheet and word processing applications; accurate typing and use of calculator. Incumbent must have at least an intermediate skill set on EXCEL and Microsoft Word.
