Assists with vessel repair and vessel management as directed by a Marine Engineering Manager.

Assists with all aspects of vessel management.
Assists with planning and performing vessel repairs.
Participates in spare parts review.
Drafts vessel procedures and implements approved policies.
Performs audits with classification society or others as directed.
Works with crew as required.
Performs all other related duties as requested.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Marine Science or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE: Maritime Academy with less than six months ongoing experience.
LICENSE: Valid Local Driver's License and Valid Passport.
TRAVEL: Various Tropical locations.
PHYSICAL: Industrial and Office Environment - Manual dexterity to perform repetitive motion tasks on computer. Ability to bend or stoop to retrieve lower shelf files. Ability to reach overhead to retrieve upper shelf files. ability to sit 1/3 - 2/3 of day. Ability to work long hours (14+) for extended periods of time outdoors, at shipyards, inside vessel machinery spaces and in tanks, and onboard vessels at sea, while performing heavy physical work in a physically demanding environment - hot, cold, humid, high sound levels, confined spaces, high heights and in inclement weather. Ability to travel in various modes of transportation (e.g. automobile, airplane, train, vessel, pilot boat, etc..) Frequent exposure to outside elements during the course of a normal work day and while traveling.
