sideOur shipping group owns and operates a fleet of vessels that provide regularly scheduled liner service between the U.S. mainland and two of the nation’s off-shore trade lanes: Alaska and Puerto Rico. The group’s fleet of seven Jones Act vessels provides both roll-on roll-off and containerized ocean transportation, and moves roughly one-third of all cargo imported to Alaska and one-fifth of all cargo imported to Puerto Rico.

In connection with its marine transportation service, the group also offers extensive cargo logistics and intermodal services, including an extensive fleet of cargo equipment positioned throughout the United States, line haul and local drayage trucking, and rail. The group also offers third-party logistics, including vessel crewing and technical management; and intermodal cargo logistics, including rail, trucking and warehousing.

Combined, the group employs roughly 2,000 persons, serving primarily Fortune 500 companies and regional freight consolidators.

Spectrum Logistics is a third-party logistics company based in the southeastern United States. The company provides a variety of logistics services, including nationwide trucking, warehouse and cross dock operations, consolidation and deconsolidation services, and heavy lift and project cargo handling. Totem Ocean Trailer Express (TOTE) provides common carrier service to and from the mainland to the Railbelt region of Alaska. Started in 1975, TOTE today offers twice-weekly scheduled service between Tacoma and Anchorage. In connection with its marine transportation service, TOTE offers trucking and rail service throughout the Lower 48 to and from its Tacoma, Washington, terminal, in addition to rail and trucking connecting service throughout Alaska. TOTE has terminal facilities in Tacoma, Anchorage, Fairbanks and Kenai; and offices in Dallas and Portland.
