At the Saltchuk Shareholders' Annual Shareholder Meeting, held in Seattle on March 30, 2012, Denise Tabbutt was unanimously elected to begin serving on the Saltchuk Board of Directors.
Denise's most recent primary occupation has been raising her three sons. She has also served in a variety of capacities with her family businesses as well as served on education and youth-focused non-profit boards.
Her involvement in her family businesses include serving as an adjunct member of the Governance Committee of the Saltchuk Board, chairing quarterly family meetings with her sisters and the Saltchuk Board, and serving as Secretary of the quarterly family business meetings. In addition, she has served as a Member of the Board of Directors of SeaBear from 1996 to present.
Denise also serves on the board of Westside School and Seattle Preparatory School; is Vice Chairof the Whitman College Board of Overseers; and serves on the Board of YouthCare.
Denise graduated from Bellevue High School in 1983; received a Bachelor of Arts, Psychology / French from Whitman College in 1987; and completed Finance for Senior Executives, Executive Education Program, Harvard Business School, in 2002.

SEATTLE, WA – WASHINGTON, D.C. (April 2, 2012) - Christopher A. Coakley joined Saltchuk Resource's senior management team as Vice President, Government Affairs.
Coakley, who is based in Washington, D.C., will represent Saltchuk's interests at the federal level and will coordinate the company's public policy efforts nationwide. He will also be Saltchuk's representative on the Executive Committee of the American Maritime Partnership.

Coakley joins Saltchuk from his most recent position as Vice President of Legislative Affairs for the American Waterways Operators, an industry association representing the U.S. tugboat, towboat, and barge industry. He has a master's degree in transportation policy, operations, and logistics from the George Mason University School of Public Policy. A graduate of Colby College, he also studied at the London School of Economic and was an intern in the British parliament. Following college graduation, he participated in the "Business Bridge" program in accounting, finance and marketing at Dartmouth University's Tuck School.
