American Shipping Group, Inc. American Shipping, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Saltchuk, oversees three independently managed companies: two off-shore domestic liner companies and a ship management company for vessel owners. ASG is the managing partner and has a 90% equity interest in Sea Star Line (“SSL”). Sea Star provides common carrier service from the U.S. mainland to and from Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the Dominican Republic. It operates three combination roll-on roll-off / lift-on lift-off vessels combined with a capacity of over 1,800 forty-foot equivalent units; and offers intermodal service throughout the United States to and from its terminals in Jacksonville, Port Everglades, Port Elizabeth and Houston. Sea Star controls roughly twenty-five percent of all domestic freight destined to Puerto Rico. Totem Ocean Trailer Express (“TOTE”), a wholly owned subsidiary of ASG, provides common carrier service to and from the Railbelt region of Alaska. Started in 1975, today TOTE has four roll-on roll-off vessels, with a combined capacity of over 2,000 forty-foot equivalent units. TOTE offers trucking and rail service throughout the Lower 48 to and from its Tacoma, Washington terminal, in addition to rail and trucking connecting service throughout Alaska. Spectrum Logistics, a Sea Star Line Company, is a premier logistics company based in the southeastern United States. AmNav Maritime Services is a California-based harbor services company. Am-Nav provides ship assist, regional towing and construction support services. Mercosur Shuttle Group: CMSA, an Argentinean company, provides marine transportation services to and from points within Argentina on the Parana River. Delta Western, a wholly owned subsidiary of North Star Utilities Group, markets petroleum products throughout Southeast, the Aleutian Chain and Western Alaska. The Company has fuel terminal facilities in Juneau, Wrangell, Yakutat, Haines, Dutch Harbor, Naknek, Dillingham, and the Pribilof Islands; and offices in Anchorage and Seattle. Delta Western operates retail gas stations; provides home heating fuel delivery; and provides direct deliveries to remote Alaskan bush and coastal communities. E Mau, a wholly owned subsidiary of North Star Utilities Group, markets and distributes petroleum products and operates convenience stores through three subsidiaries in Hawaii. Maui Petroleum is the leading distributor of refined petroleum products on Maui while Hawaii Petroleum is the leading distributor of refined products and lubricants on the Big Island. Northern Air Cargo, a wholly owned subsidiary of Saltchuk Air Cargo, has been providing air cargo service to Alaska’s rural communities, and beyond, since 1956. NAC moves roughly 100 million pounds of freight and mail within the state of Alaska annually, and can operate around the clock, offering both scheduled flights and charter service. NAC provides scheduled service to 17 locations within the state and transports cargo to Deadhorse, serving all of the companies doing business on the North Slope. As a U.S. Department of Defense-certified carrier, NAC participates in the CRAF program, flying military goods to various remote sites in Alaska. Northern Air Aviation Services (NAAS) is a division of Northern Air Maintenance, offering ground services at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport. NAAS provides baggage handling, push back, and marshalling services, as well as aircraft grooming, catering, lavatory and water service for most narrow body aircraft. Northern Air Maintenance, a wholly owned subsidiary of Saltchuk Air Cargo, includes an FAA Part 145 Repair Station in Anchorage, Alaska. The services offered by the repair station include line maintenance and scheduled inspections by a staff of mechanics working twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. ALTA Air, a wholly owned subsidiary of Saltchuk Air Cargo, is a logistics company specializing in both domestic and international shipments. Reliant Logistics became a wholly owned subsidiary of Saltchuk Air Cargo. in 2008, but has been offering comprehensive air charter management and logistics services since 2000. As a non-asset based third party, Reliant specializes in providing the right aircraft for customer’s needs, from a Cessna 310 to a Boeing 747-200F. With experts in domestic and international shipping, Reliant has the experience to handle large projects and exotic cargo. Aloha Air Cargo, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Saltchuk Air Cargo. It became part of the Saltchuk Air Cargo family on 14 May 2008. However, Aloha has been providing dedicated freighter service in Hawaii since 1985. Aloha operates a fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft and currently carries approximately 85% of all the freight between the Hawaiian Islands. Aloha carries a diverse range of freight; from cargo for well known courier services such as UPS, FedEx and DHL to a broad range of products like baked goods, newspapers, pets, fresh produce, flowers, tropical fish, surfboards and general cargo. It is the only overnight carrier of cargo between the Islands to offer refrigeration capabilities at all of our Neighbor Island locations. Saltchuk is the sole equity investor in Ilahie Holdings, Inc., which owns a portfolio of commercial properties in the Pacific Northwest.
